Course Information

Welcome to ACCT 3300 or BIA 3600 - Managing Information Technology - at Otterbein University. In this course, we will learn vocabulary and concepts related to creating, storing, and sharing data, information, and knowledge. There are two required texts, including:
  1. Fundamentals of Information Systems 9e by Stair and Reynolds
  2. Problem-Solving Cases in Microsoft Access and Excel 16e by Monk, Brady, and Mendelsohn

If you are interested in honing your Excel skills while looking for a competitive outlet, then you should check out the Financial Modeling World Cup. Besides competitions and cases, the organization provides sample datasets and activities if you want to ease into it. This video introduces more about the competition and the goals of the group.
